The size grade is shown in the seventh position of the article number: 40 252 600 is the standard size, while 610 and 620 are repair oversizes. The cylinder diameter after honing is decisive, not its condition before machining.

Measure at three heights and in two axes. If the value exceeds the standard size plus installation clearance, the first oversize is correct.

“With rings and pin” means piston, piston ring set and piston pin with retainers in one package. Without this addition, only the piston is included; ring set and pin retainers are listed as separate products under “Related products”.

Use the engine-specific manufacturer specification. A guide value for aluminium pistons in cast-iron liners is 0.03 to 0.05 mm, measured across the pin axis; the coating is included in the measurement and target value.

The shop shows the valid successor and keeps the old number searchable. Without a successor, purchasing remains disabled while technical data and documents remain available for repair cases.
