The 30 Pierburg oil pressure valves currently available are developed in Europe and tested to 100 per cent; they cover a worldwide vehicle population of around 80 million cars and light commercial vehicles.

Oil pressure valves play a central role in the control of modern oil circuits. Working together with variable oil pumps and oil pressure sensors, they regulate both the pressure and the volume flow of the engine oil.
